ABC model

The ABC model is a way to understand how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. "A" stands for theActivating event—something that triggers a response. "B" is our Belief or interpretation about that event, which influences how we feel. "C" is the Consequent, or our emotional response and behavior resulting from our belief. By identifying and changing unhelpful beliefs (B), we can influence our feelings and actions (C), leading to better emotional well-being. It's a useful framework in therapy for understanding and altering negative thought patterns.
