2007 Nobel laureate
The 2007 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded jointly to Albert A. Michelson for his precise measurements of the speed of light. The prize also went to two scientists, John C. Mather and George F. Smoot, for their work on the Cosmic Background Explorer Satellite (COBE), which helped understand the Big Bang. Their discoveries advanced our understanding of the universe’s origins and structure, providing evidence for theories about cosmic evolution. This research has significantly impacted cosmology, helping us grasp the universe's history and its fundamental laws.
