1967 War
The 1967 War, also called the Six-Day War, was a brief conflict between Israel and neighboring Arab countries—Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. Tensions rose over border disputes and political issues, leading Israel to launch preemptive strikes. Within six days, Israel achieved rapid military victories, capturing the Gaza Strip, West Bank, East Jerusalem, Sinai Peninsula, and Golan Heights. The war significantly altered the Middle East map, increased tensions, and resulted in many Palestinians and others becoming refugees. It also shaped regional politics and ongoing conflicts, influencing relations between Israel and its neighbors to this day.
