ZUMA Trial

The ZUMA trial was a clinical study testing a new cancer treatment called CAR T-cell therapy for patients with certain types of blood cancers like lymphoma. In this process, a patient’s own immune cells are collected, modified in a lab to better attack cancer, and then reintroduced into their body. The trial aimed to evaluate the safety, effectiveness, and potential side effects of this personalized therapy. Results showed many patients experienced significant cancer shrinkage or remission, suggesting CAR T-cell therapy could be a promising option for treating resistant or advanced blood cancers.
