Zone Model Theory
The Zone Model Theory explains how we navigate social spaces by dividing them into different zones based on comfort levels with proximity. There are typically four zones: intimate (close friends and loved ones), personal (friends and acquaintances), social (colleagues or strangers at a distance), and public (large groups or audiences). Each zone reflects varying degrees of personal space and social interaction. People tend to maintain different distances depending on the situation and their relationship, which influences communication, comfort, and behavior within these zones. This model helps us understand personal space and social boundaries across different contexts.
