Zohar Argov

Zohar Argov was an influential Israeli singer best known for popularizing Mizrahi music, a genre blending Middle Eastern and Mediterranean sounds. Born in 1955, his emotive voice and heartfelt performances made him a beloved figure in Israel, especially within the Mizrahi community. Despite his musical success, his life was marked by personal struggles and addiction. His influence persists today, as he is considered a pioneer who helped bring Mizrahi music into mainstream Israeli culture. Sadly, he died in 1987 at age 32, but his legacy continues through his recordings and impact on Israeli music.
