Zikr (remembrance)
Zikr (or Dhikr) is a spiritual practice in Islam involving the repeated remembrance of God's name, attributes, or phrases such as "SubhanAllah" (Glory be to Allah) or "Alhamdulillah" (Thanks be to Allah). It is performed through silent or verbal repetition to cultivate awareness, mindfulness, and a sense of closeness to God. Zikr serves to purify the heart, strengthen faith, and foster inner tranquility. It can be practiced individually or in groups, often as part of daily routines or worship, helping believers remain mindful of their spiritual connection amidst life's distractions.
