ZIFT (Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer)
Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer (ZIFT) is a fertility treatment that helps couples struggling to conceive. In this procedure, eggs are first retrieved from a woman's ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a lab to create zygotes (early-stage embryos). Instead of placing them directly into the uterus, the zygotes are then transferred into the fallopian tubes, where they can implant and develop naturally. ZIFT combines techniques from both in vitro fertilization (IVF) and natural conception, aiming to enhance the chances of pregnancy by utilizing the body's natural reproductive environment.
