Zero-Sum Games

A zero-sum game is a situation in game theory where one player's gain is exactly balanced by another player's loss. In other words, the total amount of wealth, resources, or benefits in the system remains constant; if one player increases their share, another must decrease theirs. Common examples include competitive sports or betting, where the success of one participant directly translates to the failure of another. In a zero-sum game, the overall "pie" doesn't grow or shrink; it is simply redistributed among players. This concept emphasizes strategic decision-making and analysis of opponents' actions.
