Zero liquid discharge

Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is an advanced water treatment process that aims to eliminate all liquid waste by recycling and converting almost all wastewater into clean water and concentrated solids. In ZLD systems, wastewater from industrial or power plant operations is treated to recover water, leaving behind minimal or no liquid discharge. This approach minimizes environmental pollution, conserves water resources, and ensures compliance with strict regulations. While ZLD can be more costly, it is particularly valuable in arid regions or sensitive environments where water conservation and pollution prevention are critical.
