Zawgyi
Zawgyi is a widely used font encoding system for the Myanmar language, enabling computers and devices to display Burmese script. It was created before Unicode standardized Myanmar text, leading to multiple incompatible versions. While Zawgyi allows older systems to render Burmese characters, it isn't compatible with Unicode, which is an international standard ensuring consistent text representation across platforms. This incompatibility can cause issues in sharing and correctly displaying Burmese text. Currently, efforts are underway to transition fully to Unicode, which promotes better interoperability, seamless communication, and future-proof digital Myanmar content.
