Zawahiri, Ayman

Ayman Zawahiri was an Egyptian-born militant and a senior leader of al-Qaeda, the terrorist organization responsible for numerous attacks worldwide. He was a trained doctor who became deeply involved in Islamist jihadi movements, eventually leading al-Qaeda after Osama bin Laden's death. Zawahiri was known for his ideological influence and planning of terrorist operations until his death in 2022.
