Yugoslavism
Yugoslavism was the idea of uniting the different ethnic groups—mainly Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, Bosniaks, and others—within a single, multi-ethnic state called Yugoslavia. It aimed to promote national unity, cultural cooperation, and shared identity among the diverse peoples of the region. Over time, Yugoslavism evolved from emphasizing common Slavic roots to fostering political integration, but it faced challenges due to ethnic tensions and nationalism. The concept played a central role in the formation and governance of Yugoslavia until its eventual disintegration in the 1990s.
