Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association

The Young Women’s Mutual Improvement Association was a religious and social organization established in 1869 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) for adolescent girls and young women. Its purpose was to promote moral, spiritual, educational, and social development, helping young women grow in faith, character, and leadership skills. The organization provided activities, lessons, and service opportunities, fostering a sense of community and personal growth. In 1972, it was merged into Young Women, which continues to serve young women in the LDS Church today.
