Yorkshire Ripper case
The Yorkshire Ripper was a British serial killer active between 1975 and 1980, who murdered at least 13 women across northern England. The killer, later identified as Peter Sutcliffe, targeted vulnerable women, often prostitutes, and used blunt force and blades. His crimes caused widespread fear and media attention. Sutcliffe was caught in 1981 after a lengthy investigation and was convicted of his crimes in 1981, receiving a life sentence. His case highlighted issues around policing and social attitudes towards marginalized groups and remains one of the UK's most notorious serial killer cases.
