Yayoi
The Yayoi period (circa 300 BCE to 300 CE) was a significant era in Japan’s history marked by the introduction of rice agriculture, metal tools, and new pottery techniques. It saw the development of more organized communities and social hierarchies. The Yayoi people engaged in trade, crafted iron and bronze objects, and laid foundations for future Japanese culture. This period represents a transition from the earlier Jomon hunter-gatherer society to a more settled, agrarian society, shaping Japan’s social, economic, and technological development.
