YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association)

YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) is a division of the American Library Association dedicated to supporting library staff who serve young adults, typically ages 12-18. It provides resources, training, and advocacy to promote effective library programs, literacy, and services for teens. YALSA works to ensure young adults have access to engaging literature, digital tools, and spaces that foster their development, education, and well-being. By doing so, it helps librarians create welcoming environments where teens can learn, explore, and connect.
