Yakuza

The Yakuza is a prominent organized crime syndicate in Japan, known for its complex hierarchical structure and traditional codes of conduct. Often involved in activities like gambling, drug trafficking, and protection rackets, they have a significant cultural presence and are sometimes depicted in media. The Yakuza members, recognizable by their elaborate tattoos, maintain a strict code of loyalty and honor. While officially illegal, they have historically held a complex relationship with society and authorities, sometimes stepping in to provide services that the government does not, especially in times of disaster.
