Yakutia, officially known as the Republic of Sakha, is a vast region in northeastern Siberia, Russia. It is one of the coldest inhabited places on Earth, with winter temperatures often plummeting below -40°C (-40°F). Known for its stunning landscapes, including taiga forests and tundra, Yakutia is rich in natural resources, particularly diamonds and minerals. The indigenous Sakha people have a unique culture and language. The capital city, Yakutsk, is often referred to as the coldest city in the world and serves as a cultural and economic hub for the region.
