Y2K issue
The Y2K issue, also known as the "Millennium Bug," was a technical problem that arose because many computer systems used two digits to represent years (e.g., "99" for 1999). As the year 2000 approached, there was concern that systems might interpret "00" as 1900 instead of 2000, potentially causing errors in calculations, data processing, and automated functions. This could have disrupted utilities, banking, transportation, and other critical services. Significant efforts were made globally to update and test systems, greatly minimizing potential problems when the date changed to January 1, 2000.
