XRT (X-Ray Telescope)

The X-Ray Telescope (XRT) is an instrument designed to observe high-energy X-ray light coming from energetic cosmic sources such as the Sun, black holes, and supernova remnants. Unlike visible light telescopes, XRT uses specialized mirrors or detectors to focus and capture X-rays, which are absorbed by Earth's atmosphere. By doing so, it allows scientists to study very hot, dynamic, and otherwise invisible regions of space, helping us understand phenomena like solar flares, solar corona, and the behavior of extreme objects in the universe.
