Xofluza

Xofluza (baloxavir marboxil) is an antiviral medication used to treat the flu (influenza) in people aged 12 and older. Taken as a single oral dose, it works by blocking an enzyme that the flu virus needs to replicate, helping to stop the spread of the infection in the body. Xofluza can reduce the duration of flu symptoms if taken within 48 hours of symptom onset and may also decrease the risk of complications. It’s generally well-tolerated, but some people may experience side effects like headache or diarrhea. It’s important to consult a healthcare provider for proper diagnosis and treatment.
