Xiaflex

Xiaflex is a medication used to treat conditions caused by the thickening or tightening of tissues, such as Peyronie’s disease and Dupuytren’s contracture. It contains an enzyme called collagenase that breaks down collagen, a protein that builds up abnormally and causes tissue deformity. By dissolving excess collagen, Xiaflex helps restore normal tissue flexibility and improve function or appearance. It is administered through injections directly into the affected area by a healthcare professional, often in a series of treatments, to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.
