XH-17 Flying Crane
The XH-17 Flying Crane is an experimental helicopter developed by the U.S. military in the late 1950s. Designed for heavy cargo lifting, it was built with a large, boxy fuselage and a distinctive tail rotor for stability. Powered by powerful engines, it could carry substantial loads, such as tanks or large equipment, making it suitable for military logistics and transport missions. Although it demonstrated impressive capabilities, the XH-17 remained a prototype and was never mass-produced, serving primarily as a testbed for heavy-lift helicopter technology.
