X-ray sources
X-ray sources are objects or phenomena in the universe that emit X-rays, a form of high-energy radiation. These sources include hot, dense areas such as the remnants of exploding stars (supernova remnants), the areas around black holes and neutron stars where intense gravitational forces accelerate particles to high speeds, and active galaxies with supermassive black holes. Detecting X-rays helps scientists study extreme environments, understand cosmic processes, and observe objects that are often invisible in regular light. X-ray telescopes observe these energetic emissions, providing valuable insights into the physical conditions and dynamics of distant celestial objects.
