X.com
X.com was an online financial services company founded in 1999 by Elon Musk, initially focused on internet banking and payments. It aimed to simplify money management, allowing users to easily transfer funds and pay for services online. The company later evolved into PayPal after merging with Confinity, becoming a leading digital payment platform. In 2002, PayPal was acquired by eBay, and the X.com brand was phased out. Today, X.com exists as a domain owned by Elon Musk, who has expressed interest in using it for future ventures, but it is not currently an active service.
