Wyoming judiciary
Wyoming's judiciary is the system of courts responsible for administering justice in the state. It consists of three main levels: the Wyoming Supreme Court, which is the highest court; the Wyoming District Courts, which handle serious criminal cases and large civil disputes; and the Wyoming Circuit Courts, which manage minor criminal cases, small claims, and preliminary matters. Judges are appointed and elected, ensuring both accountability and expertise. The judiciary interprets laws, resolves conflicts, and protects rights, playing a crucial role in upholding the rule of law and ensuring fairness in legal proceedings throughout the state.
