
Wu Di (Emperor Wu)
Wu Di, also known as Emperor Wu of Han, was a Chinese emperor who reigned from 141 to 87 BCE. He is celebrated for strengthening and expanding the Han Dynasty through military conquests, notably into Central Asia and Vietnam. Wu Di promoted Confucianism as the state philosophy, supporting education and civil service exams. His reign saw significant economic growth, advancements in arts and sciences, and the development of a centralized bureaucracy. Wu Di’s leadership helped solidify China’s territorial boundaries and cultural influence, making him one of the most influential and celebrated emperors in Chinese history.
