Wreck of the Titanic (ship)
The wreck of the Titanic is the remains of the RMS Titanic, a luxurious passenger ship that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean after hitting an iceberg in 1912. Over a century later, the ship lies about 12,500 feet deep, largely intact but heavily corroded, on the ocean floor. The discovery of the wreck in 1985 provided valuable insights into early 20th-century maritime engineering and the tragic events of its sinking, which resulted in over 1,500 deaths. Today, it serves as a maritime grave and a site of historical and scientific interest.
