World Systems Analysis is a social science approach that examines global interconnectedness and the relationships between countries. It divides the world into three categories: core nations, which are economically developed and powerful; semi-peripheral nations, which are in the middle; and peripheral nations, which are less developed and often exploited for resources. The framework highlights how economic, political, and social systems shape inequality and influence global dynamics. It helps us understand how wealth and power are distributed worldwide, and how historical processes impact current global relations.
