World’s first television transmission
The world’s first television transmission occurred in 1928, when Scottish engineer John Logie Baird broadcast the first moving image over a short distance. This pioneering event involved converting visual images into electrical signals, transmitting them through a cable, and then displaying them on a receiver screen. Although limited in image quality and range, it demonstrated the fundamental concept of sending live moving pictures electronically. This breakthrough laid the groundwork for the development of modern television technology, transforming how information and entertainment are shared worldwide.
