Working Group I, II, III
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) organizes its assessment reports into three Working Groups. Working Group I assesses the physical science of climate change, examining factors like temperature increases, greenhouse gases, and climate models. Working Group II focuses on the impacts, vulnerabilities, and adaptations related to climate change, such as effects on ecosystems, health, and economies. Working Group III evaluates options for mitigation, exploring strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through technology, policies, and behavioral changes. Together, these groups provide a comprehensive understanding of climate change science, impacts, and solutions for policymakers and the public.
