Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) are injuries or conditions affecting muscles, joints, tendons, or nerves caused or worsened by repetitive movements, improper posture, or sustained physical activity during work. Common examples include neck pain, backaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, and shoulder strains. These disorders develop gradually over time and can lead to discomfort, decreased productivity, or long-term disability if not addressed. Preventative measures include ergonomic workspace setup, regular breaks, proper lifting techniques, and exercises to strengthen muscles, helping to reduce the risk of such work-related conditions.
