Worcester Sharks
The Worcester Sharks were a professional ice hockey team based in Worcester, Massachusetts, and served as the minor league affiliate for the NHL's San Jose Sharks. They played in the American Hockey League (AHL), which is a development league for players aiming to compete in the NHL. The team operated from 2006 until 2015, providing a platform for young players to gain experience and for injured NHL players to recover. In 2015, the franchise relocated to San Jose and became the San Jose Barracuda, ending the Worcester Sharks' existence.
