Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program
The Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program is a U.S. federal initiative designed to promote and support small businesses owned and controlled by women. It provides certain contracting advantages to help these businesses compete for government contracts, recognizing their contribution to the economy. To qualify, a business must be at least 51% owned and managed by women who are U.S. citizens. The program aims to increase opportunities for women entrepreneurs and foster diversity within federal procurement processes.
