Wolff's Law states that bones adapt to the loads and stresses placed on them. When you use a bone regularly—through activities like exercise or weight-bearing tasks—it responds by becoming stronger and denser. Conversely, if a bone experiences less stress or disuse, it may weaken and lose density over time. This natural process helps bones maintain strength suited to their activity level, ensuring they are neither too weak nor unnecessarily strong. In essence, bones are dynamic tissues that reshape themselves based on the mechanical forces they encounter.
