Wołyń Voivodeship
Wołyń Voivodeship was a historical administrative region in Poland, existing from 1921 to 1939, located in what is now western Ukraine. It covered an area characterized by mixed rural and urban communities, including diverse ethnic groups such as Poles, Ukrainians, and Jews. The region experienced significant political and social upheaval during interwar Poland, and its history is marked by complex ethnic relations. Today, the territory largely corresponds to parts of Volyn Oblast in Ukraine. The voivodeship's legacy is tied to both its cultural significance and the tragic events of ethnic conflict during World War II.
