WMO Congress
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Congress is the main decision-making body that gathers representatives from its member countries every four years. It sets global policies, priorities, and standards for weather, climate, and water services. The Congress reviews scientific advances, coordinates international efforts, and promotes cooperation to improve weather forecasting, climate understanding, and environmental monitoring. It also oversees the WMO’s programs and ensures that countries share vital data to protect life, property, and the environment worldwide. Essentially, it guides global efforts to better understand and respond to weather and climate challenges.
