Witness stand

A witness stand is a designated area in a courtroom where witnesses sit or stand while giving their testimony during a trial. It’s equipped with a seat or a place to stand, a microphone, and sometimes a Bible or document holder. When someone takes the stand, they are sworn to tell the truth and then answer questions from lawyers and the judge about what they know related to the case. The purpose of the stand is to provide a formal setting where witnesses can clearly present their observations or knowledge, helping the court determine facts and make fair decisions.
