Winter

Winter is one of the four seasons, characterized by colder temperatures and shorter daylight hours. It occurs due to the tilt of Earth's axis, causing parts of the planet to receive less direct sunlight during this time. This results in a drop in temperature, leading to the formation of snow and ice in many regions. People often wear warmer clothing, and nature goes into a period of slower activity, with some plants dormant and animals adjusting their behavior for survival. Winter typically lasts from December to February in the Northern Hemisphere and June to August in the Southern Hemisphere.
