Windows Mobile was an operating system developed by Microsoft for smartphones and PDAs, designed to provide a familiar Windows experience on mobile devices. It supported multitasking, advanced user interfaces, and integration with Microsoft services like Office and Exchange. Launched in the early 2000s, it aimed to combine desktop productivity with portable convenience. Over time, Windows Mobile evolved into Windows Phone, focusing on a modern, touch-friendly interface. Although discontinued in 2010, Windows Mobile played a key role in early mobile enterprise and productivity solutions, influencing later mobile OS developments.
