Windmill
A windmill is a machine that harnesses the power of wind to perform work, traditionally used to grind grain or pump water. Its large blades, or sails, catch the wind and spin around a central hub. This rotational motion is transferred through gears or a shaft to drive machinery inside the windmill. Modern windmills, known as wind turbines, convert wind energy into electricity by using spinning blades connected to a generator. Windmills exemplify renewable energy technology, turning natural wind flow into useful mechanical or electrical power without emitting greenhouse gases.
