Windchill

Windchill is a measure of how cold it feels outside, due to the combined effect of the actual air temperature and the wind. When it’s windy, the moving air removes heat from your skin more quickly than still air, making it feel colder than the thermometer shows. Essentially, windchill predicts how cold your skin perceives the environment to be, helping you understand the risk of frostbite or hypothermia. It’s a useful way to communicate safety in cold, windy conditions, especially for outdoor activities and weather planning.
