Wind Farms
Wind farms are collections of large turbines that harness the wind’s kinetic energy and convert it into electricity. Situated in areas with consistent wind flow, these turbines have blades that spin when wind blows, turning a generator inside to produce electrical power. Wind farms can be onshore (land-based) or offshore (located in bodies of water). They provide a renewable, clean energy source that reduces reliance on fossil fuels, helping to lower greenhouse gas emissions. Properly designed and maintained, wind farms can supply significant amounts of electricity, supporting communities and industries while minimizing environmental impact.
