
William Farel
William Farel was a Christian preacher and reformer in the 16th century, instrumental in the Protestant Reformation in Switzerland. He is best known for his efforts to promote Martin Luther’s ideas and for convincing John Calvin to stay in Geneva, where he helped establish the city's Reformed church. Farel’s passionate preaching aimed to renew Christian faith and morality, challenging existing Catholic practices.
