William Einthoven
William Einthoven was a Dutch scientist who invented the electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), a device that records the electrical activity of the heart. His work allowed doctors to visualize and analyze heart rhythms, greatly improving the diagnosis of heart disorders. In 1924, he won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for this invention. Einthoven's contributions advanced the understanding of cardiac health and helped save countless lives by enabling earlier detection and treatment of heart conditions.
