William Culpeper

William Culpeper was an English courtier and nobleman in the early 17th century. He is best known for his close association with Anne of Denmark, the wife of King James I, and for allegedly having an affair with her. His involvement in court intrigues led to his arrest and trial for treason in 1599. Culpeper was ultimately executed, and his story reflects the complex and often risky political and personal rivalries at the English royal court during that period.
