William Boyce

William Boyce (1711–1779) was a prominent English composer and organist known for his contributions to classical music, particularly in the development of English choral and church music. He composed numerous hymn tunes, anthems, and instrumental works that remain influential. Boyce was also a dedicated educator, serving as Master of the King's Music and mentor to many musicians of his time. His music blends traditional English styles with the Baroque and Classical periods, making him a key figure in 18th-century British musical culture.
