William B. Ogden

William B. Ogden was an influential American businessman and politician in the 19th century, best known as one of Chicago's founding fathers. Born in 1805, he helped develop Chicago’s economy, serving as the city’s first mayor from 1837 to 1838. Ogden was also a successful railroad and banking executive, contributing to the city’s growth and infrastructure.
