Wilhelm Maybach was a pioneering German engineer and designer who significantly advanced automobile and aircraft engine technology in the early 20th century. Working closely with Gottlieb Daimler, he helped develop some of the first high-speed internal combustion engines, which powered the first motorcycles, cars, and aircraft.
